Before becoming Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ine Eriksen Søreide was Minister of Defence in Norway.

She is a member of the Conservative Party of Norway. In 2005, she was elected as a Member of the Storting for Oslo.

Mats Berdal

Professor of Security and Development at the Department of War Studies, King’s College London and is a leading scholar in the field of security studies. He served previously as Director of Studies at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in London and on the Commission of Inquiry set up by the Norwegian Government to examine Norway’s military, humanitarian and development contributions to allied operations in Afghanistan between 2001 and 2014. Berdal is a graduate of LSE and Oxford University and is a member of the Academia Europaea.
